Song Sparrow (Melospiza melodia)

Song Sparrow (Melospiza melodia)

Song sparrow, North American variation, is streaked brownish above with brown wings.Dark, dense streaking may merge into central spot on whitish breast. Long rounded tail pumped in flight. Wide grey eyebrow, brown crown with grey central stripe, dark mustache mark.

The White-Crowned Sparrow



The Sparrows is a small bird with mostly gray plumages. The White-Crowned Sparrow is also gray but has a brown back and wings. Read more about White-Crowned Sparrow here .

WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW -5.The Sparrows is small bird with mostly gray plumages. The White-Crowned Sparrow is also gray but has a brown back and wings. It is so named because of a white and black striped crown.It's a common summer residents and breeds across northern North America. The White-Crowned Sparrow is less common in the winter and can be found in the lowlands, specially in agricultural areas.Habitats: Shrubby woodland, parks, cities. Farms are preferred in winter. Song of the White-crowned Sparrow: In the call of the White-Crowned Sparrow some people seem to hear phrases like “See me, pretty, pretty me”
